ABOUT ME

I am a journalist and editor with at least a decade of experience working in broadcast, online, and print  in London and Hong Kong.

My areas of interest and specialities include covering breaking news events for online and

radio broadcast.

I previously worked for Hong Kong’s public broadcaster RTHK’s English newsroom. I took on

various responsibilities during my time there, including web producer, reporter, news reader,

presenter, and news-bulletin sub-editor. I primarily  produced and occasionally presented the station’s morning programme Hong Kong Today, and I also  helped produce and present the station’s evening  news programme, Newswrap.

Before joining RTHK, I was the associate editor for the news and lifestyle website Coconuts Hong Kong where I covered the 2019 anti-government protests, and also helped manage the day-to-day news and lifestyle coverage on the site, from writing feature pieces on hyperlocal issues such as the city’s neon signs, to reviewing new restaurants the opened in the city. Prior to that, I worked for Hong Kong TV station ATV World, CNN International, and Hong Kong Free Press.

I have worked on three documentaries about Hong Kong, including one on the 2014 Umbrella Movement protests for MSNBC which was awarded the grand student prize at the Human Rights press awards hosted by Amnesty International Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Journalists’ Association, and the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Hong Kong.

Prior to moving to Hong Kong, I worked in Westminster as a reporter for the political news wire PoliticsHome.

I have a Master of Journalism from the University of Hong Kong (2015) and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations from the University of Reading (2011).

When I'm not working, I like to unwind by reading a good book, going on walks with my camera, listening to music, playing the piano, and knitting or crocheting.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss professional collaborations.
